IREP Education

WHAT WE DO

iREP Settlement Services provides a full range of services in matters relating to settlements for international students from airport pickup, orientation to homestay services.  We are championed by experts with many years of battlefield experience in the education industry.  Our experienced consultants understand the worries and concerns that you may have before departure, and the language and culture barriers that you may face in a foreign land. We are here to help.  Our strength is in helping international students to smooth their transition from abroad (particularly from Asia) to North America.

OUR SERVICES

iREP Settlement Services provides full services in education-related settlement matters.  For illustration, some examples of services are listed hereunder:

A La Carte Services

Our orientation before departure includes a brief introduction about your destination, such as food, traffic, weather, and culture, etc.  We will also provide you with a checklist of certificates, documents, luggage and personal items that you should bring with you.  Through our orientation, you will have a better idea about what to expect when you come to North America.

Homestay Services

Each homestay family which cooperates with iREP Settlement Services is strictly assessed and selected by our consultants based on the needs of our students.  We will provide you with an “iREP Homestay Student Registration Form” to better understand your preferences.  Based on the information you provide, we will choose up to 3 homestay families that best fit your situation for you to make a decision.

Housing Rental.

Similar to our homestay services, we will provide an “iREP Housing Rental Registration Form” to you to obtain some information about your needs and preferences.  Based on the information we receive, we will choose a place that best fits you.

Airport Pickup.

Our consultant will wait for you at the exit of the airport with your name written on a board, so that you do not get lost in the crowd.  After our consultant has picked you up, we will call your family to let them know that you have arrived safely.  Then our consultant will drive you to your homestay/ residence.

Local Orientation

After arriving in a foreign country, the students may need help to get used to the surroundings and local life style.  They may also be interested in exploring the local attractions. Based on the students’ needs, iREP Settlement Services provides a whole-day landed orientation at $300 per day per person for up to 8 hours.  Alternatively, students can choose to pay by the hour at $45/hour.

Medical Insurance

Medical insurance is mandatory across Canada. It could be extremely expensive to get medical care without medical insurance.  Our consultants can help students to apply for the right medical insurance for the province that they study in.

Sign Up for Mobile Services

Nowadays, most people cannot live one day without a cell phone.  iREP consultants understand how important it is for students to keep in touch with their families.  Thus, we will help students sign up for mobile services if requested.

Open Bank Account

Having a local bank account is essential for international students.  First, it is not safe to keep a large amount of cash with you or in your room.  Second, you have to report to a border services officer amounts equal to or greater than CAN$10,000, or its equivalent in a foreign currency that you bring into or take out of Canada.  It is safer and more convenient to deposit your money in your local bank account and to make transactions.  Our iREP consultant can go to the bank with you to help you understand the terms and regulations.

iREP Settlement Services All-in-One Premium Package

Package includes all the services listed above and up to two days of landed orientation.  A $5 international calling card is also included for the students to contact their families in their home countries.
